Hollywood And The Third Commandment

Do not take the Lord's name in vain.

Ever wonder how or why the Lord's name became a "swear" word in our entertainment culture, and thus in society at large? One can hardly watch any film these days, or book for that matter, that does not contain multiple instances of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's name being used in negative situations--on these we need not provide examples as the reader is well aware.

But has the reader ever considered the long-term consequences of watching films in which the characters continuously take the Lord's name in vain? Is it just mindless entertainment? Are they just movies as so many would believe? Well, you'll be happy to know that the NWOIB crew has considered it for you and you can be sure there is a sinister agenda at work, for the only people who think that movies are merely harmless entertainment are the masses of moviegoers themselves; the social engineers, however, have long been aware of the massive potential of this tool. Witness Bertrand Russell's thoughts on this:

"The great majority of young people in almost all civilized countries derive their ideas of love, of honour, of the way to make money, of the importance of good clothes, from the evenings spent in seeing what Hollywood thinks good for them. I doubt whether all the schools and churches combined have as much influence as the cinema upon the opinions of the young in regard to such intimate matters as love and marriage and money-making. The producers of Hollywood are the high-priests of a new religion." (The Scientific Outlook, p.158)

What is happening is that people are being unconsciously conditioned by Hollywood's propaganda machine to take the Lord's name in vain, i.e., to break the third Commandment.

First the how, then the why.

When watching a film, the viewer enters a hypnotic trance--which does not mean you begin acting like a chicken; it means you enter a highly suggestible state. This is the Alpha state.

Beta state = 13-25 brainwave cycles per second, or 13-25 hertz. This is the normal, wakeful state.
Alpha state = 8-12 hertz. This is the relaxed brain state, idle, highly suggestible. Alpha is the optimal state for learning. Relaxed, yet aware, receiving information.
Theta = 5-7 hertz. A meditative state.
Delta = 1-4 hertz. This is the sleep state. Both Theta and Delta are not open to external stimuli in any significant way.

The hypnotic trance is achieved whenever the person is intensely focused on the subject to the exclusion of all other stimuli. Take sitting in the movie theater for example: the viewer sits in a comfortable chair, has some high-calorie food and drink, the lights go out, and the viewer is focused on the film.

This Alpha state is the entrance state: the verb en-trance means to put into a trance; the noun entrance is the way to enter. It is when a viewer is en-tranced that the entrance to the unconscious mind is vulnerable to the subliminal programming such as New Age themes or the misuse of the Lord's name.

The programming is to turn the name "Jesus Christ" into a curse word by providing a repetitive negative association. Whenever the viewer hears His name in a film these days it is always in response to events such as: seeing a dead body, something disgusting, bad news, anger, shock, and suchlike. This negative association is "downloaded" into the Alpha state viewer's unconscious operating system, so that, later, when the person encounters a negative situation in their own life, they too will misuse the Lord's name.

When a person is extremely afraid, or in a state of rage, and can't find the words to express those feelings, then the unconscious operating system provides the response--a response that it has learned from the "high priests of a new religion." This generally occurs when someone is at a loss for words and just blurts something out, thus creating the start of a pattern. And this learned response is no more appropriate as an expression of fright or rage than is "holy cow!" or "George Washington!" People only say it because they have been taught to say it.

This is not to suggest that each actor (oftentimes improvising) or screenwriter is intentionally trying to program people; no, they are merely repeating what they have learned as well. It is a self-perpetuating system filled with unwitting participants. This is why people must understand the agenda and guard against it.

Which brings us to the why. Why this is being done is simply because the Commandment tells us not to. It is a trick to cause people to break the Commandments (this same principle can be applied to all or most of the Commandments) and to psychologically manipulate people to view Jesus Christ as something other than our Savior.

It is important to realize that we are in the midst of a legal battle for souls: God is the Judge, and he has given us a moral law to follow; we will all someday be judged according to our obedience to that law.

Satan is the adversary and accuser, he's looking for a guilty conviction.

But Jesus Christ is our Advocate and Redeemer. He has ensured our salvation by taking upon himself the punishment for that guilt.

So the answer is, yes, there are, or can be, dire consequences to viewing entertainment media in which the Lord's name is misused. Because of the induced trance-like brain state, it is not the same as hearing a person at work say it; the viewer is vulnerable in the Alpha state. You may not even know anything at all has changed until a year later when you hit your thumb with a hammer.

So what can be done? 1) Obviously, all entertainment media can be avoided altogether, or severe discretion can be implemented; however, there are heavy anti-Christian themes in many films with PG ratings as we have demonstrated. Total avoidance is the best defense.

2) The next best defense is to understand what is happening and not leave oneself vulnerable. The Alpha state can be "shut off" so to speak just by thinking, analyzing, being mentally active rather than passive. When we watch a film here at NWOIB for research purposes we are on alert, never idle, always vigilant knowing that the film is most likely enemy fire. Even films that are supposedly family oriented, wholesome, or having religious themes: everything must pass the test first, all are presumed guilty until proven innocent.

John 14: 15: "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

I have a question! Should we just stop watching movies and TV and avoid all media and entertainment? Is there anything recommendable? We live in a digital world where we flooded by entertainment, our enemies come in angels plumage and deciphering their true being is a tedious job.

Marcelo,

I honestly can't think of anything I would recommend at the moment. Avoiding entertainment altogether can only benefit a person, but at least become familiar with the warning signs outlined in these reports and others. I hardly watch many films these days, but many of them I stop watching after only fifteen minutes or so.
